Johnny Gentry earns latest PacWest baseball honor
QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Hawai‘i Pacific junior infielder Johnny Gentry (Aiea, HI/Saint Louis) has been chosen the PacWest Player of the Week.
The honor was announced on Monday, April 28 and is for games played April 21-27.
Gentry produced an excellent series at Grand Canyon University by hitting .588 in five starts.
He went 10 for 17 with five runs scored, 10 RBI, three home runs and two doubles, recording a 1.235 slugging mark and a .632 on-base rate along the way.
