PacWest Baseball Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll (March 31)
Aaron Asher (photo) - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., C, 5-9, 180,
R/R, Aiea, HI/Aiea) - batted .375 in nine games (9
for 24) with six runs, six RBI, two homers, three doubles and a
.750 slugging rate...posted a .571 on-base mark...reached base
eight times last week after getting hit by pitches...walked three
times.
Paul Nishimura - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., OF, 6-1, 175, R/R, Kahalu‘u, HI/Roosevelt) - hit 391 (9 for 23) in nine starts for the Sea Warriors...scored four runs, drove in six others, walked four times, and belted a pair of homers...produced a .652 slugging rate and a .517 on-base percentage.
Dayne Ogawa (photo) - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., OF, 5-10, 200, R/R, Kaneohe, HI/Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama) - batted .367 (11 for 30) in seven starts for the Vulcans last week...topped the PacWest in RBI for the week with 12...also scored nine runs, ripped three doubles and smacked a home run...turned in a .567 slugging rate...also stole a base.
Nick Orgill - Dixie State (Jr., P, 5-11, 180, L/R, Idaho Falls, ID/Idaho Falls) - recorded fours saves in five appearances last week...posted a 2.08 ERA in 4.1 innings of work...recorded four strikeouts.
Byron Reischi - Grand Canyon (Jr., 2B/3B, 6-0, 180, R/R, Tombstone, AZ/Tombstone) - hit 500 in four starts for the Antelopes last week...was 7 for 14 with two runs, two doubles, three RBI and a stolen base...posted a .643 slugging mark and a 500 on-base average.
Peter Rodgers (photo) - Hawai‘i Hilo (So., IF, 5-9, 180,
R/R, Olympia, WA/Capital) - batted .346 (9 for 26) in
seven starts for the Vulcans...drove in nine runs, scored four and
belted a homer...walked four times...posted a .433 on-base rate and
a .462 slugging mark.
Mark Rose - Dixie State (Sr., IF, 6-0, 205, R/R, Las Vegas, NV/Basic) - batted .385 (10 for 26) in eight starts for the Rebels...blasted two more home runs, smacked a double, scored three runs and drove in eight...walked three times and reached base via the HBP on five occasions....had a .654 slugging rate and a .529 on-base mark.
Matt Rynearson - Dixie State (Fr., IF, 5-11, 185, R/R, St. George, UT/Pine View) - hit .393 with a 536 slugging average and a .469 on-base rate in eight starts for the Rebels...was 11 for 28 with five runs, four doubles, three home runs, two walks and two HBP.
Alvis Satele - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., IF, 6-3, 210, R/R, Mililani, HI/Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama) - produced a .417 average in seven starts for the Vulcans...was 10 for 24 with 11 RBI, seven runs, a double, two home runs and a .708 slugging rate...also had a 483 on-base percentage.
Trevor Vega - Grand Canyon (Sr., OF, 5-11, 175, R/R, Mesa, AZ/Skyline) - topped the PacWest in batting average for the week with a .571 mark in four starts...went 8 for 14 with four runs, five RBI, three doubles, and a .785 slugging percentage...also produced a .600 on-base mark.
