Kaimi Mead no-hits Northwest Nazarene, claims PacWest honor
QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Hawai‘i Pacific
veteran pitcher Kaimi Mead (Honolulu,
HI/Roosevelt) has been selected the PacWest
Pitcher of the Week after tossing a no-hitter to close out the
month of February.
The honor was announced on March 3 by the PacWest Office in Queen Creek, AZ, and is for games played from Feb. 25-March 2.
Mead led the Sea Warriors to victory by throwing a no-hitter vs. Northwest Nazarene on Feb. 28.
In seven innings he faced just one batter above the minimum (22), striking out 10 and walking only three. It was his lone appearance of the week.
