starts last week...was 12 for 29 with six runs scored, two RBI and
two doubles...recorded a .483 slugging rate and a .452 on-base
mark.
Tate Ford - Grand Canyon (So., 1B, 5-10, 200, S/R, Plainview, TX/Millennium) - batted .467 in four starts vs. Dixie State last week...was 7 for 15 with five runs, one double, one home run and four RBI...drew four walks and produced a .579 on-base mark.
Cody Fortney - Grand Canyon (Fr., IF, 5-9, 175, R/R, Scottsdale, AZ/Coronado) - led the Antelopes in hitting for the week with a 500 average during a four-game set vs. Dixie State...was 9 for 18 with eight runs scored, two doubles, a homer and two RBI...recorded a .778 slugging mark and a .526 on-base rate...stole two bases.
Danny Lee - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., IF, 5-10, 215, R/R, Kahalu‘u, HI/Saint Louis) - in six games last week he hit .391 (9 for 23) with three doubles, two runs and three RBI...walked three times to finish with a 462 on-base mark...registered a .522 slugging percentage.
Blake Mickelson - Dixie State (Sr., C, 5-11, 190, L/R, St. George, UT/Snow Canyon) - batted .519 in six starts last week...was 14 for 27 with six runs scored, five RBI and a home run...recorded a .630 slugging rate and a .552 on-base percentage.
Paul Nishimura (photo) - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., OF, 6-1, 175,
R/R, Kahalu‘u, HI/Roosevelt) - batted .400 in
six games for the Sea Warriros...was 8 for 20 with two runs, two
doubles and three RBI...registered a 500 slugging mark and a .455
on-base percentage.
Alex Rosenhan - Dixie State (Jr., IF, 6-3, 220, R/L, Highland, UT/Alta) - hit .533 in five games for the Rebels, going 8 for 15 with two runs, three RBI, a double, a homer and an .800 slugging mark...was also hit by pitches twice and turned in a .588 on-base average.
Austin Stockfisch - Grand Canyon (Sr., C, 6-2, 200, S/R, Valencia, CA/Desert Mountain) - hit .400 in four starts for the Antelopes...was 6 for 15 with six runs, two doubles, five RBI and a 533 slugging percentage...was hit by pitches three times and drew one walk to boast an on-base percentage of .526.
Jacob Valentine - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., OF, 5-10, 170, S/R, Vancouver, WA/Skyview) - hit .389 in six games last week...scored seven times, ripped two triples and drove in a pair of runs...was 7 for 18 at the plate...drew nine walks...recorded a .611 slugging rate and a .607 on-base percentage.
