HPU sets up rematch with Grand Canyon after beating
UPR-Bayamon 15-1 in PacWest LWS

St. GEORGE, UT - Hawaii Pacific scored runs in all seven innings in defeating the University of Puerto Rico Bayamon 15-1 on Friday night and advance to the next round of the Pacific West Conference Little World Series in St. George, UT.
The Sea Warriors will face Grand Canyon at 3 p.m. on Saturday with the winner taking on Dixie State on Saturday night at 7 p.m. for the title.
The PacWest Little World Series is a four-day tournament that has brought six NCAA Division II baseball programs to Dixie State College of Utah for a chance to win a post-season championship.
Turhan Folse tossed a complete-game victory, allowing one earned run in seven innings while striking out 10.
Blake Amaral slugged a pair of home runs, going 3 for 5 with three runs scored and five RBI. Cheynne Hirota was 3 for 4 with one run and one RBI, while Aaron Asher was 2 for 2 with four runs, two RBI and a homer.
Rylan Morihara also had three base hits, going 3 for 5 with three runs batted in.
Javier Marrero went 2 for 2 and scored the Vaqueros lone run.
