Kasey Winters claims first PacWest weekly honor of 2007-08

Kasey Winters (Mesquite, NV/Virgin
Valley) has been named the first PacWest Men's
Basketball Player of the Week for the 2007-08 season.
The honor was based upon games played during the opening weekend of the season from Nov. 15-18.
A transfer from Division I Idaho State, Winters exploded for 51 points and 31 rebounds as the Rebels split a pair of games in Colorado, falling to Metro State but beating Colorado Christian.
Winters averaged 25.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game, including going 20 for 25 from the foul line.
