Chance Bukoski picked as PacWest Player of the Week

QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Hawai‘i Pacific freshman midfielder Chance Bukoski (Kapa‘a, HI/Kapa‘a) scored a pair of game-winning goals to lead the Sea Warriors into first place and collect the Pacific West Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week award.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Queen Creek, AZ, on Monday, Nov. 3, for games played from Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

Bukoski finished the week with eight points on three goals and two assists. He tallied the game-winner along with an assist in a 6-1 thumping of Chaminade on Oct. 30. On Oct. 28 at BYU-Hawaii, he set up the game-tying goal with an assist and then punched home the deciding goal in the second half. He also tallied a goal vs. NDNU in a 2-2 twin-overtime draw on Nov. 1.

PacWest Men's Weekly Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll

Mark Bennett (photo) - Notre Dame de Namur (Sr., M, 6-1, Reading, United Kingdom)...tallied a pair of goals, including game-tying score in 2-2 twin-overtime draw vs. HPU on Nov. 1...helped the Argos rally from a 2-0 deficit.

Ben Brooksby - Dixie State (Fr., GK, 6-5, 200, Hyde Park, UT/Skyview)...posted his third shutout of the season on Nov. 1 at Chaminade in a 1-0 victory...halted both shots he faced.

Dustin Daley - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., M, 5-10, Brea, CA/Brea Olinda)...recorded a seven-point week for the Vulcans as UHH recorded a 3-0-0 mark...scored three goals and contributed one assist...scored twice in win vs. Chaminade on Oct. 28...recorded assist on game-winning overtime goal on Oct. 30 vs. BYU-Hawaii...scored a goal vs. Grand Canyon in 2-0 Vulcan victory on Nov. 1.

Linus Ekden - H awai‘i Pacific (So., M, 5-10, Lidkoping, Sweden)...recorded five points during the week on two goals and one assist...assisted on game-winning goal at BYU-Hawaii on Oct. 28...scored goal vs. Chaminade on Oct. 30 and vs. NDNU on Nov. 1.

Gabe Kallen-Brown - Hawai‘i Hilo (So., M, 5-10, 165, Fairbanks, AK/West Valley)...scored the game-winning goal vs. Grand Canyon on Nov. 1...also had an assist vs. Chaminade...finished week with three points.

Brent Knoblauch (photo) - Dixie State (So., M, 5-10, 160, Seattle, WA/Snow Canyon)...led Dixie State to a 3-0 week by posting three points on a goal and an assist...gave Dixie State a 2-0 lead on Oct. 28 vs. Northwest Nazarene with his goal...assisted on game-winning goal vs. Northwest Nazarene on Oct. 27.

Aaron McKinley - Dixie State (Fr., D, 5-10, 205, Layton, UT/Layton)...scored game-winning goal vs. Northwest Nazarene in the second overtime period as Dixie State won 3-2...goal came with less than two minutes left in the second overtime frame.

David Meherg - Notre Dame de Namur (Fr., GK, 6-2, Bremerton, WA/Olympia)...recorded a 1-0-1 week for the Argos in two key regional contests...posted a 0.00 goals against average in 110 minutes of action...recorded two saves.

Ivan Mercado - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., GK, 6-0, Paramount, CA/Century)...posted back-to-back shutouts vs. BYU-Hawaii and Grand Canyon last week...had a 0.00 goals against average with seven saves in 233:19 of action...was 2-0 for the week...also shut out Chaminade for 45 minutes in the second half of a 4-1 win.

Cristobal Montes - Notre Dame de Namur (Fr., M/F, 5-9, Fremont, CA/John F. Kennedy)...registered five points on the week by scoring two goals and adding an assist...scored both goals, including the game-winner, vs. San Francisco State on Oct. 29...had an assist on NDNU's first goal as the Argos rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie Hawai‘i Pacific 2-2 on Nov. 1.
