Ciliento earns 3rd PacWest Weekly honor
PHOENIX, AZ - Grand Canyon rookie forward Kyle Ciliento (Phoenix, AZ/Pinnacle) has been selected the Pacific West Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the third time this season.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 12, for games played Oct. 5-11.
Ciliento was phenomenal in two games for the Antelopes last week, scoring 13 points on six goals and one assist as GCU beat Hawai‘i Hilo 3-0 on Oct. 8 and Chaminade 5-0 on Oct. 10.
Ciliento posted back-to-back hat-tricks, scoring all three GCU goals vs. UHH. He tallied three times with an assist vs. Chaminade to finish the game with seven points. He was responsible for both game-winners.

in the second half of a 1-0...scored game's first goal in a 2-2
double-overtime draw with NDNU on Oct. 8.
Francisco Arellano - Dixie State (Jr., 5-11, 160, M, Ogden, UT/Pine View)...registered a goal and an assist for three points last week...recorded all three points on Oct. 8 in 4-0 victory over Chaminade...assisted on game-winning goal and tallied Dixie State's third goal of the game.
Chance Bukoski - Hawai‘i Pacific (So., 6-0, 185, F, Lihue, HI/Kapaa)...posted four points on two goals during the week for the Sea Warriors...drilled game-winning goal with less than 10 minutes left in regulation vs. Academy of Art on Oct. 6 in a 1-0 victory...scored HPU's lone goal in a 1-1 double-overtime victory vs. Dominican (CA) on Oct. 8.
Christian Cannavina (left) - Notre Dame de Namur (Fr., 6-0, 150, F,
Layton, UT/Layton)...assisted on game-winner and
added an insurance goal in NDNU's 3-0 win over HPU on Oct.
10...finished the week with three points on a goal and an assist.
Cory Cosgrove - BYU-Hawaii (So., 6-0, 170, GK, Highland, UT/Lone Peak)...registered a 1-1-1 week in net for the Seasiders during a California road trip...halted 13 shots on net for an .812 save percentage...produced a 0.93 goals against average in 290 minutes of action...shut out Academy of Art 1-0 on Oct. 10 by making three saves...had four saves in 1-1 double-overtime draw at NDNU on Oct. 8.
Arturo Gomez - Notre Dame de Namur (So., 5-8, 155, M, San Diego, CA/Castle Park)...helped the Argos to a 1-0-1 week in PacWest action by totalling five points on two goals and one assist....recorded an assist in 2-2 double-overtime tie with BYU-Hawaii on Oct. 8...scored two goals, including the game-winner, in 3-0 blanking of Hawai‘i Pacific on Oct. 10.
Eduardo Gutierrez - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 5-8, 140, F, Azusa, CA/Azusa)...punched in Vulcans' lone goal of the week on Oct. 10 at Dixie State, giving UHH a 1-0 victroy...finished the game with two points.
Shaine Huiberts (left) - Dominican (CA) (Jr., 6-0, n/a, F, San Juan
Capistrano, CA/Dana Hills)...scored game-tying goal
in the 74th minute vs. HPU in a 1-1 double-overtime draw on Oct.
8...contest was the lone game of the week for the
Penguins...finished the week with two points.
Ben Paneccasio - Grand Canyon (Jr., 6-3, 183, GK, Sydney, Australia/Rosenban K College)...recorded two more shutouts over 180 minutes of action during the week, extending his scoreless streak to nearly 500 minutes (485:56)...halted two shots on net...blanked both Hawai‘i Hilo (3-0) on Oct. 8 and Chaminade (5-0) on Oct. 10.
Jordan Roylance - Dixie State (Fr., 5-9, 150, F, Smithfield, UT/Sky View)...unleashed a hat-trick on Oct. 8 in 4-0 victory over Chaminade...finished the contest with six points on the three goals...credited with game-winner.
