Dixie State's Haley Schumers chosen PacWest Player of the Week
QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Dixie State junior P/3B
Haley Schumers (Plain City, UT/Freemont) has been
selected the first PacWest Softball Player of the Week for 2008.
The honor is for games contested Feb. 1-10.
Schumers hit .542 for the week while playing in eight games. She was 13 for 24 at the plate with four doubles, three home runs, 13 runs batted in and a stellar a 1.083 slugging rate.
She also posted a 1-3 mark on the mound, recording a 3.67 earned run average with 25 strikeouts.
