NDNU's Tara Van Meter claims PacWest Pitcher of the Week honor

Tara Van Meter (Sacramento, CA/St.
Francis) has been named the first PacWest
Pitcher of the Week for 2008.
The veteran infielder and hurler led NDNU with a 2-1 record and a 3.50 ERA.
The honor is for games played from Feb. 1-10.
Van Meter was also outstanding at the plate, leading the PacWest in hitting with a .632 batting average.
She went 12 for 19 with three doubles, a home run, five RBI and three runs scored. She posted a .947 slugging percentage and a .636 on-base mark during the stretch.
