Notre Dame de Namur's Tara Van Meter claims her second PacWest
Pitcher of the Week award of 2008
QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Notre Dame de Namur senior hurler Tara Van Meter (Sacramento, CA/St. Francis) has been named the Pacific West Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
The honor is for games played Feb. 25 through March 2.
The NDNU hurler saw action on the mound three times last week, posting a 1-1 mark with a 2.00 ERA for the Argos. She allowing four earned runs over 14 inning of work.
Van Meter continued her torrid pace at the plate as well. She also hit .500 by going 7 for 14 with three doubles, two runs scored, a home run, five RBI and a .929 slugging percentage.
