Alvino chosen first Pacwest Player of the Week in volleyball for 2007
QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Chaminade jumped out to a 7-1 record
thanks to rookie setter Tanya Alvino (Brentwood,
CA/Liberty) was chosen as the first PacWest
Volleyball Player of the Week on August 27...the freshman was
named the MVP of the Hawaaian Style Classic on August 25 after
leading Chaminade to a 4-0 start on the season...she averaged 11.87
assists per game and 3.13 digs per contest while competing in 15
games...she posted 55 assists vs. Briar Cliff in that event.
