Dixie State visits BYU-Hawaii Feb. 4 in latest PacWest Women’s Basketball Game of the Week

LAIE, HI – The PacWest Game of the Week will feature Dixie State visiting BYU-Hawaii on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Each week during the women’s basketball season, the PacWest will spotlight a game that will be broadcast live over the Internet. The Red Storm and Seasiders will tip off at 5 p.m. (HAST) with the audio and video broadcast available.

BYU-Hawaii is 3-14 overall and 2-7 in the PacWest, while Dixie State is 13-5 overall and 8-2 in the conference.

Seasider junior forward Shayla Washington (Phoenix, AZ/Trevor Browne) leads the Seasiders with her 17.2 points-per-game mark and her 8.4 rebounds-per-contest average.

Sophomore guard Dana Lynn Hooper (Hoolehua, HI/Molokai) is averaging 11.6 points per game, while freshman Taylor Mann (Castle Dale, UT/Emery) is contributing 9.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest.

Senior guard Sheila Adams (Layton, UT/Layton), junior center Becca Thomas (Riverside, CA/Redwood) and junior guard Erica Hayes (East Palo Alto, CA/Menlo-Atherton) lead the Red Storm in scoring – all three players are averaging in double figures.

Adams is averaging 14.5 points per game, while Thomas is producing 11.5 points per contest. Hayes is contributing 11.4 points per game.
