Sarah Biser claims PacWest weekly honor

QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Notre Dame de Namur freshman midfield/forward Sarah Biser (Newark, CA/Newark Memorial) led her club to a 2-0 mark by scoring three goals and adding an assist, earning the Pacific West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week award.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Queen Creek, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 27, for games played from Oct. 20-26.

Biser finished the week with seven points, including a five-point effort in a comeback victory over Dixie State on Oct. 25. She assisted on her club's first goal to tie the game 1-1. Then, with her team trailing 2-1 in the 81st minute, she tied the score 2-2 to force overtime. She punched in the game-winning goal in the second overtime period for a 3-2 Argo victory.

PacWest Weekly Top 10 Women's Soccer Honor Roll

Kahanu Ah Puck - BYU-Hawaii (Sr., F, 5-7, Hauula, HI/Kahuku)...scored a pair of goals in 11-0 blanking of Chaminade on Oct. 25...finished with four points.

Victoria Colon - Notre Dame de Namur (Fr., M/F, 5-1, San Diego, CA/Mission Bay)...recorded a pair of assists in 3-1 Argo victory over Grand Canyon on Oct. 23.

Samantha Paetz - Notre Dame de Namur (Fr., M, 5-3, San Pedro, CA/San Pedro)...credited with an assist on game-winning goal vs. Dixie State on Oct. 25...also had an assist on in surance goal vs. Grand Canyon on Oct. 23.

Shannon Larsen - Dixie State (Jr., M, 5-4, Salt Lake City, UT/Skyline)...recorded a goal and an assist in two games...accumulated four points on the week...tallied game-winner vs. Grand Canyon on Oct. 21.

Adele Letro (photo) - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., F, 5-8, Davis, CA/Davis)...scored game-winning goal and added an assist on insurance goal in 2-0 victory over HPU on Oct. 25...finished with three points on the week.

Lauran McCullough - BYU-Hawaii (Fr., D, 5-3, Kennewick, WA/Kamiakin)...had a hat-trick in an 11-0 win over Chaminade on Oct. 25...finished with six points...was credited with game-winning goal.

Hailey McKee - BYU-Hawaii (So., M/D, 5-6, South Jordan, UT/Bingham)...posted a goal and as assist in 11-0 victory over Chaminade on Oct. 25...finished with three points.

Kristin Mills - Notre Dame de Namur (Sr., D, 5-8, San Jose, CA/Oak Grove)...pulled NDNU into a 1-1 tie with Dixie State with goal on Oct. 23...Argos eventually won in double-overtime 3-2.

Margaret Sekona - BYU-Hawaii (Fr., F, 5-3, Juneau, AK/Juneau Douglas)...scored twice in 11-0 win over Chaminade on Oct. 25...finished with four points.

Heather Toohey (photo) - Notre Dame de Namur (Fr., M/F, 5-3, Anaheim, CA/Canyon)...posted three points on a goal and an assist for the week...scored game-winning goal vs. Grand Canyon on Oct. 23...had assist on game-winning overtime goal vs. Dixie State on Oct. 25.
