Pachecano earns PacWest weekly award

QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Hawai‘i Hilo junior forward Megan Pachecano (Pahoa, HI/Woodland) led her club to a 2-1 record during a three-game road trip the Mainland, earning the Pacific West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week award.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Queen Creek, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 20, for games played from Oct. 13-19.

Pachecano finished the week with five points and had an impact in every game. She set up teammate Adele Letro with the game-winner on Oct. 15 in a 1-0 victory over NDNU, then scored the opening goal in a tough 3-2 loss at Dixie State on Oct. 17. On Sunday, Oct. 19, she tallied the lone goal in a 1-0 blanking of Grand Canyon.

Nichole Elias - Grand Canyon (Jr., M/F, 5-7, Tucson, AZ/Sahuaro)...assisted Kaylen Jackson on both of her goals in a 2-0 victory vs. Hawai‘i Pacific on Oct. 17.

April Hansen - Dixie State (Fr., GK, 5-9, American Fork, UT/American Fork)...turned in another 2-0-0 record for the week in two starts...was required to make just three saves in the two games...had a 2.30 goals against average in the two victories.

Andrea Harmening (photo) - Notre Dame de Namur (Jr., M/F, 5-4, Blaine, WA/Blaine)...scored game-winning goal vs. HPU on Oct. 19...finished week with two points.

Kaylen Jackson - Grand Canyon (Jr., M/F, 5-3, Tucson, AZ/Amphitheater)...scored all of the Antelopes' goals for the week...scored twice vs. Hawai‘i Pacific in a 2-0 victory on Oct. 17...was credited with the game-winner.

Adele Letro - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., F, 5-8, Davis, CA/Davis)...scored game-winning goal at NDNU on Oct. 15...finished week with two points.

Camille Peterson - Dixie State (Fr., M, 5-7, North Logan, UT/Sky View)...scored two goals, including the game-winner, vs. Hawai‘i Hilo on Oct. 17...finished the game with four points.

Shela Robertson - Grand Canyon (Sr., GK, 5-9, Blaine, WA/Blaine)...registered a 0.67 goals against average despite posting a 1-2 record during the week...recorded 1 4 saves and allowed just two goals in 270 minutes of action.

Heather Toohey - Notre Dame de Namur (Fr., M/F, 5-3, Anaheim, CA/Canyon)...posted three points on a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over HPU on Oct. 19.

Robyn Wall (photo) - Dixie State (Jr., M, 5-9, Bountiful, UT/Bountiful)...scored game's first goal vs. Hawai‘i Pacific on Oct. 15 in a 5-1 Dixie State victory.

Mikala Wilkes - Dixie State (Jr., M, 5-8, Cedar Hills, UT/Lone Peak)...finished the week with five points in two games...scored two goals and had an assist...scored eventual game-winning goal vs. HPU on Oct. 15...also added an assist...scored a goal on Oct. 17 in a 3-2 win over Hawai‘i Hilo.
